The Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”) has created more change in our health care system since the introduction of Medicare and Medicaid in 1965. Twenty-four (24) million Americans will have access to health insurance they have not had before. If you are one of those 24 million, think you may be, or even if you have no idea what any of this is about, this event will answer some of your questions and help you make some important decisions.
Come join Chris Senz, Director and COO of Tuality Health Alliance, to find out what makes Oregon’s exchange market unique. We’ll explore Cover Oregon, tiers of coverage and out of pocket expenses, subsidies for individuals and businesses, and penalties for not having insurance (yes, it is mandatory). We’ll also walk through some real-life examples together to see how the changes will impact individuals and families. The implementation timelines and rules are changing often, and no one is an expert at this yet, but we’ll do our best to sort through mountains of information and help participants know how the Affordable Care Act (ACA) changes affect them individually and what exciting new opportunities there are to buy affordable health insurance.
